About Leslie
I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Social Work in 1983 and completed my post-graduate work at Texas State University earning a Masters in Clinical Social Work in 2007 with honors. I have over 20 years experience working for various non-profit agencies as well as in hospital, hospice and school settings in the Central Texas area. I have enjoyed building my private practice in Buda-Kyle and being a part of this thriving community doing what I love–helping others to live life to its fullest potential.
The National Association of Social Workers, American Counseling Association, American Art Therapy Association, Phi Alpha National Honor Society and The Student Health Advisory Council-Hays School District are all organizations in which I have participated. I received my LMSW supervisor certification from UT Austin in 2012. I am a Clinical Trauma Professional certified in 2013. I am also A 200-RYT certified yoga teacher and completed the RCYT (Registered Children’s Yoga Trauma Certification) in 2021.
I am a single Mom to two college students at Texas State University. I enjoy trail running, yoga and love exploring the music and art scene in ATX. I am an advocate for LGBTQ youth, the BLM movement and women’s rights.
