I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Social Work in 1983 and completed my post-graduate work at Texas State University earning a Masters in Clinical Social Work in 2007 with honors. I have over 20 years experience working for various non-profit agencies as well as in hospital, hospice and school settings in the Central Texas area. I have enjoyed building my private practice in Buda-Kyle and being a part of this thriving community doing what I love–helping others to live life to its fullest potential.
The National Association of Social Workers, American Counseling Association, American Art Therapy Association, Phi Alpha National Honor Society and The Student Health Advisory Council-Hays School District are all organizations in which I have participated. I received my LMSW supervisor certification from UT Austin in 2012. I am a Clinical Trauma Professional certified in 2013. I am also a 200-RYT certified yoga teacher and am currently completing my RCYT certification to teach yoga to children, teens with an emphasis on trauma, and will complete the certification in March 2021.
I am married with two children and enjoy trail running, yoga and spending time with my family and friends. I am a native Texan and have lived in the Buda-Kyle community since 1999.
In June 2021, I finally landed in Wimberley where I had dreamed of living since my grandparents retired here in the 70s. I am thrilled to be collaborating with Dr. Roger Pruitt, Wimberley pediatrics to bring more mental health services to the families of central Texas.
Cheers to the rivers, nature, art and music…ahhhh, so happy to be home!!!
